Finally a decent day 75 degrees, 50% humidity. Started the final paint. First problem was dust and crap flying around with the 10mph winds outside, In the end I had to shut the garage door, luckily I had borrowed a fresh air respirator so didn't kill myself!
The garage is totally blue now... Initially I was doing as before and getting enough paint on so that it did not look orange peely as I sprayed, but
I got a small run on one of the doors, no problem its not in the main part of the panel it will sand out. Reduced the paint setting on the gun and started to apply leaving a slight orange peel, This was correct, the paint
flows out fine and there is little orange peel and runs are not a problem. However I was so scared of getting runs on the rear quarters that I went a litle to far on the final (4th) coat and it ended up not so good as the rest of the car
But with 4 coats on there I should be able to colour sand this out at the weekend if that doesn't work I have enough paint to shoot those panels again. In the end I used 3 quarts of paint for the whole car.
